A bare bones starter

Though she knew it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, or coffee, Michi had never felt much need to travel beyond her cozy store. The scent of coffee, the quiet rustle of pages, the stories that carried her beyond their world was all she had ever found she needed in life. She had grown up there and now it was not only her home but her income as well. The quaint village she’d always known had gone through a moderate expansion recently and more and more people had started to come in search of safer areas to grow their families. This had worked very well in her favor as one of the few coffee options in town, though as she reflected she did wish she’d tried harder to convince her grandmother to expand and add a small kitchen. As it was now she provided a quiet spot to catch a drink, eat a simple lunch, and read from one of the many books that covered the walls and floors of the small space.

She was a small woman at only 5’3 and felt she was a practical person that rarely bothered to fuss about things. Her long silvery white hair had been left loose for the day and trailed just past her waist. Her hair nearly hid that she was wearing a pair of high rise shorts if she was observed from behind. Her feet wear bare but for her pink toenails that nearly matched the simple tshirt she wore. She had been putting a few books left on tables back on the shelves of the second floor when she heard someone calling out. Quiet as a mouse she descended the stairs with barely a creak and entered what she considered the shop’s foyer.
