Snezhnaya Defector

The Fatui are the worst. You get wrapped up with them and you're sure to suffer a terrible fate.

Why is it so cold?

Andromeda shivered as she slowly walked through the snow strom. She was born on a cold day and lived in a frozen tundra of sorts and yet she couldn't bare the sting of the icy winds anymore. Her skin was a mixture of red and blue as she adjusted the cloak she had wrapped herself up in. Her feet were wrapped in bandages but lacked shoes and the parts of her body covered in more seemed to appear more worn and torn with traces of blood scattered about. The child was severly underdressed and the fact her skin had frost spread about told a silent tale of just how far she had traveled in such a state.

She had to keep moving forward though. It didn't matter how much her lungs burned or how bad her legs cried for rest she needed to seperate herself from them with as much distance as possible. Grayish hair blew behind her as she suddenly came to a stop. Her vision now blurry and her heart slowly freezing over. A silent gasp for air left her lips as she took one final step forward before falling out onto the snow covered ground. Andromeda could swear she could hear the sound of heavy footsteps closing in on her. 'Subject number 626' was all she could hear being called out over and over again as she began breathing harder and faster.

It burned. She had to get up. Andromeda had to stand on her two feet and move forward no matter what if she ever had hopes of escaping the cluthes of the Fatui and the Archon they followed. Was her brother even safe if she left him behind for her own freedom? None of that seemed to matter anymore as it became increasingly hard to hold her eyes open. She had crawled a few inches away from where she had fallen before she finally gave up. Her legs couldn't take her any further and her arms couldn't pull her weight anymore. She reached inside her top and pulled out the vision she had held onto. It was supposed to be her hope for freedom but even she couldnt make a miracle out of nothing.

Why is it so cold?

......

There was a moment of silence as she was consumed by darkness. Before she could even begin to think about life and death and had her's served any real purpose her body shot up in a panic. She grabbed at her shirt and squeezed the fabric tightly between her fingers as she gasped for her. Beads of swet trickled down  her face as she tried to catch her breath and remind herself that she was in fact still alive. She looked around and began focusing on the sceneary that surrounded her in an attempt to come back to reality. She had been asleep under a tree with the stars lighting up her rather dark night.

She was alive and she was in pain. She let out a deep breath; steam leaving her lips as she hunched over in pain. Everything hurt and she was so cold. The comfort of the stars and the moons warm embarace had aided her in getting some much needed rest, but the trade off for such a thing was the reminder that she was broken. If it hadn't been for the Fatui playing around with her like some toy then she wouldn't even be in the position she was in. Delivering random goods just to put food in her hands and hiding out like some sort of coward. There had to have been more to life then pain and suffering.

Andromeda quickly clutched her vision in hand and closed her eyes. There was a warmth that soon washed over her easing the cold sensation chilling her bones. She couldn't give up just yet. Not until she made them pay for everything they had done to her. She couldn't fall to the cold until she was able to turn her nightmares into pleasent dreams of better days. If she were going to die she didn't want it to be living in fear she would be forced to return to her prision once more one day. The Fatui had to fall and their Archon had to pay for her neglagence and mock dreams of peace.

"Snezhnaya will be freed and Tsaritsa will fall." She muttered out in a tone so venomous and hateful it would have killed just about anyone within hearing shot.

There were some grudges so deep and well routed that nothing could cure the anger and rage that festered in such unpleasent emotions. A child's parents ripped from her too soon, a brother misplaced trust seperating the siblings leaving them on opposite sides, and a little girl subjected to years or torment and cruel expirements...events that could leaven even the kindest soul bitter and cold to the world before her. Everyday her body grew weaker and she was running out of time to put her soul at ease.

Tsaritsa started this war and Andromeda would make sure to suffer through it all just to see it end with her fall. The Fatui had created a monster that was bent on revenge and seeing them fall one by one. Athena the Defector would bring ruin and fire to her one true enemy.
