She liked to travel not affiliating herself with the ways of her family something that was unlike any other in their family but her parents never question her or her disappearances after all if needed all she had to do was use her name for safe passage or so it was believed.

In one of Ran adventure she came across a  town of fox demons,everyone was nice and the Lord of the land was extremely nice something that felt odd to her.The Lord of the land was a corrupt one who had set his eyes on her when she would not give him the time of day he drugged her and kept her as his personal pet not giving her a chance to ever reach her clan for help.

From the constant abuse while under the lord a pregnancy came to be and Ran who had slowly been plotting her escape had to now think how to keep her child safe before being able to escape until one day the chance finally came she used the lords own desires to catch him of guard and kill. Ran and her daughter Yona were now free  but far away from the clan's reach and now on the run from the people who followed the  cruel Lord.

Ran discarded her Kyuubi name once she was captured by the Lord it was the best way to keep him from tracking her if she were to escape now as she is in the run she carries her father's last name Uchiha a name that can mislead since all Uchiha that are spread in the world are humans,something she is not having an advantage on those who might pray on her
