walking up the rainbow road

By: Laura Maher (this poem is dedicated to blacky a loving cat) For a time I could see beyond my pain and see a rainbow leading up to heaven in my dreams �and see beyond the clouds seeing a familiar face or a few at times I could feel their presence comforting me in my sadness for I knew I would see them again as I walked up the rainbow road in my dreams sometimes I would wish to stay but the faces would tell me that I am needed here on earth for my compassionate heart could bring smiles to the world For my love has no bounds......... now I walk up the rainbow road again as I escort an old friend to some of those familiar faces and to see them again for I know that I will see them when the time comes once again. Now that I have seen the road again I know what I am needed to do for I know that a piece of my heart has gone up the road once again with that old friend to bring the hearts of man to peace and love once again for I am what the lord wants me to be and I will be what I am to him.
