As he is still quite young within his flight, Buguo's resistances and endurances are quite low. He is most experienced with rain manipulation-- considering his occupation, flight, and shape-shifting.

Personality

Buguo was like any bright-eyed child when he was a very young boy, but he tended to keep to himself. Even today, he isn't so much of an open book, and will usually remain secretive about many things. The only few things he can be willing to share is his species and his interests revolving around his position as a rain bringer.

He's polite but can become strict and quite demanding when it comes to wanting to know something that seems important for his being. As he is the nephew of Yongqi, a dragoness who was exiled from the flight for her overwhelming hubris, he desires to be like her, meaning his determination to gain something as such shows, making him quite headstrong in ways.

Unlike his aunt though, he's no where near as blunt as her, and sometimes tends to slip up on his words when angered, annoyed, or stressed. Regardless, in comparison to her, he's shown to be more easygoing in most situations. He also tends to lie a little bit here and there when it comes to accomplishments with sprinkled exaggeration at times. Despite it, he'll back up on his little lies and tell the truth, showing he'd rather not be distrusted. He does it to make himself look more interesting, which boosts his pride.

He suffers from insomnia and PTSD, caused by having seen so much war in his lifespan. When he closes his eyes for sleep, he always awakens to images of bloodshed and broken bodies.

Appearance

As a long and being quite young in age, Buguo is smaller than average but in time, he will grow. His scales are dark brown with hints of a black ebony tint. His mane is an ebony brown color, matching the color of his human form's hair, with striking hazel eyes. His appearance loosely resembles that of a "Jianlong", due to his father, but from his mother's side, who is akin to Feilong, his snout is longer and his horns are a reddish color.

He takes the form of a young man in his very early 20s, with long hair sometimes tied in a ponytail or a bun. He's more comfortable wearing simple or traditional clothing, ranging from a plain colored shirt, jeans, and shoes, to a long flowing hanfu; it mostly depends on his location in the world. All features of the body were copied upon finding a dead man in a river over five hundred years ago. Buguo took this form as a way to honor the man, despite his life he lived prior being completely unknown.

Backstory

Born to two Long, Buguo was born in a clutch of three eggs, where sadly two were infertile. His parents feared the idea of losing their remaining hatchling, and vowed to protect him from the many dangers of the world. Though his life as a youngling is a mystery, he grew up around others in a flight of eastern dragons that have been hiding themselves for many millennia.

Tigers have been and always will be the mortal enemies of Long. War between them would happen so frequently, and yet, sparks would always fly whenever they clashed. Buguo has witnessed countless battles for learning purposes, and though there were battles that have been won, there were also losses and casualties. Around his first thousand years, he would lose his father after a particularly fierce fight against tigers; his injuries were simply too grave.

His grandparents would step in to help raise him in their son's stead, where he would become closer to his aunt Yongqi. She wasn't the best influence in his life, but she was someone Buguo admired since his hatchling years. She was the one who taught him how to defend himself, and developed a sense of real courage thanks to her. However, the toxic hubris rubbed off just slightly onto him as he grew.

One day, after a heavy defeat against tigers, Yongqi's parents would be pronounced deceased after the fight. Having been blamed for their deaths, Yongqi would be exiled and given the punishment of having enhancements and most of her abilities that made her strong. It tore Buguo when he witnessed his aunt leave him. That would be the last time they would see each other.

As years would pass, Buguo would grow into a fine young adult. He tends to avoid fighting, having developed a dislike for it due to the nightmares he finds himself plagued with. He had opted to become a rain bringer after the retirement of one of the flight's elders, allowing him to travel the land below and spread the weather change to places in need of it. He hopes to one day find Yongqi and convince her to come home, but for now, his duties come first, and his curiosity over mortals is forever growing.
