Summary:
Van was away on a scouting mission when Planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza; the very entity that they worked hard with blood, sweat, and tears for who would eventually kill off the Saiyan race save for a few survivors that were away from the planet at the time. During the time which Kakarot was sent to Earth in the West atmosphere, Van was sent to take care of things if Kakarot did not having a weak power level herself, she was sent to take care of the matter. Raditz had already been defeated so the mission was hopeful at the time. She was looking for a real challenge on the planet Earth and Goku DID NOT disappoint when Van was almost killed, Goku let her go. He told her to train harder and that they would meet in battle again when she considered her alliances. She was invited to Goku's home much to Chi-Chi's dismay; however, she was welcomed to the home with open arms nonetheless and became part of the family in a matter of months.
Personality: Van is a very sensitive, kind-hearted, and hard-working person. Her determination rivals that of Prince Vegeta's. She is a Saiyan with just as much pride as he, and she tries to live up to his expectations. Spending time with Goku and his family has caused her to think about her life and turned around a new leaf of sorts and has dedicated her life to helping people and saving their lives. She has also dedicated to train Goten and Trunks how to become true Saiyans even though they were only Half-Saiyan's. Though they were only Half, they still had a power that could be awakened deep inside of them that no one knew about except Goku when he noticed it one day on a stroll with Gohan as a child and with his wife Chichi. Van noticed this in Goten and Trunks as well and would spend days and nights in the woods training them in the name of unlocking their full power and true potential as she had done once many many years ago.
