Underneath a single Sakura tree atop a lone hill you have made your respite, and as the night comes there is but the sound of wind rustling the leaves. At least until the caress of moonlight peers from shadows above; its advent soon brings melodies from a flute that sounds as if it were everywhere and nowhere. At the song's end, a strange sits beneath the Sakura with gaze that glows golden in darkest night. For some reason you cannot recall the rest of their visage...just that they seemed curious to know what you could see, hear, and whether or not your time would be worth their curiosity.

Name: Tsukikage.
Species: Yokai? Deity? Unknown.
Gender: Male.
Alignment: Chaotic (New Moon), Neutral/Good (Half), Orderly-ish (Full Moon).
Status: Bored -- seeking entertainment or meaning.

Tsukikage's abilities and personality shift with the phases of the moon, and thus it is often thought by many, that he is three different entities related to one another than a singular being.

The New Moon fills him with the most chaotic of natures, leaving him to act more on the whims that catch his interest than any form of code or morality. He is not evil; however, he is not nearly as rational when this phase of nature overtakes him. During this time he has the greatest manipulation of darkness and shadow, his influence over illusions are more nightmare-ish, and his abilities strike directly at the mind or soul of his victims. In response, he is not as physically or magically powerful in this form innately and can only influence his strength by the current fear or reverence that other entities feel toward him.

The Crescent & Half Moon phases show a sense of harmony between his divergent natures. In this existence his ability to manipulate both shadow and the energy of the moon are balance, and his mind is centered allowing the true personality to showcase itself. While his strength over darkness is lessened, the versatility and stability in his being makes him a dangerous threat if provoked, or a wise and playful companion if intrigued. This is his default nature and seeks more than anything to find something to stave off the boredom of eternal life, while shirking the responsibilities of a divine or perhaps infernal nature?

The Three-Quarters and Full Moon phases reveal the absolute peak of his power, transcending mortal concepts. It is more accurate to consider him a divine entity that calls the full sway of the moon and those creatures beneath its glory ...but one where he is most driven by a personal order and code. The closest to lawful that one might find him. Hear he hears the prayers and desires of human and demon alike...and is most likely to remind those whom have forgotten whom he truly is.

Goro and Higa: A blue and red oni who consider themselves siblings. While Goro is more intellectual, he presents himself in a thuggish manner, while Higa is more extroverted and considers himself Tsukikage's sword--despite only collecting swords from people he has beaten with his fist. Well-meaning, often times annoying followers that are as often ignored as they are praised/protected by their liege. What did he do to instill their loyalty is something they do no discuss. Often found as keepers of his shrine when resting.

The Judgment of Nine Heavens: A fan which was owned by the head deity of his home origin, until it was stolen by Tsukikage. While an important item in the arbitration of souls and reincarnation, he simply uses it as a daily fan for his amusement whilst hiding it from the divine one.
