*The ability to alter the perception of people's senses within a certain distance. Her 'territory' is shown by a fine, shimmering mist that continuously seeps from her skin while her quirk is in use, and isn't very noticeable unless actively searched for.
-can engage, disengage and alter sensory input
-is effectively tampering with their parietal lobes
-must be able to imagine, vividly, what she wishes her victims to 'experience'...per person
-the effect is temporary, but those affected come out of it feeling steadily more disoriented and numb

Ruse was taken in when young (around age 5) by a psychological institute for extreme, seemingly psychopathic behavior. Lack of boundaries, no restraint, no empathy for others... Her new 'guardian' subjected her to treatments that were practically torture, breaking her moral compass further. She broke out thanks to her quirk, causing misfires in the man's brain that made him convinced that there were bugs crawling under his skin (which he clawed and tore open in various places with his own nails), turned off his pain receptors, convinced him he was no longer in his office, and left him to accidentally tear himself apart with medical instruments.
She later joined the Paranormal Liberation Front as a lingering fragment of the Meta Liberation Army.
When not threatened, Ruse is a being run by her whims and rather jovial. She can exude something akin to a big-sister energy at times, or she can kill without a single regard for the lives she's claiming at a moment's notice. At her core, she's a manipulator.
