Sitting on a quaint little colony atop a bustling military fortress, an unassuming tavern makes its humble profits. For this tavern welcomes all who enter the town. Not just from the country, not even from the world. But beyond. For Alnus Hill is home to the enigmatic Gate. A powerful and curious relic which transports people and aliens from all over the multiverse to this magical land.
Inside this tavern, a bubbly, warm, and generally pleasant Barkeep tends to her patrons' hunger and lodgings. But, while she may appear to be friendly, she is in fact a member of a once fierce nation. A tribe known simply as the Warrior Bunnies who's kingdom was cut short by the neighboring Empire's early expansion. Deliliah, the barkeep in question was like most of her kin. A loyal friend, and a devout warrior, whom dedicated her life to the world's goddesses. Those loyalties however would fall short to her own queen however. Lady Thule, her former monarch surrendered and threw herself to the "tender mercies" of the Empire's prince. An act that Deliliah despised. Due to her surrender, the kingdom broke apart and now relied on the Empire for mercy and survival. Their elite assassins and warriors were either executed, enslaved, or sought shelter among the civilian life.
Barkeep by day, assassin by night, Deliliah kept to herself and her patrons, only really gathering a few raised eyebrows when she would utterly send would-be drunkard assailants flying out the door or even window when she was targeted.
Life in Alnus was never always a possibility however. It was only when the Japanese launched a full counter strike into the kingdom, brokered a ceasefire, and grew a fresh colony, did this warrior bunny find and make a new home for herself. WHen the colony was established, she would see a rise in clientele unlike anything before. But, all that would come crashing down when she received secret orders to launch a sneak attack upon the JSDF; falsified by her former queen as a ploy to reignite a war which would utterly obliterate the Empire from the inside. She was however stopped by members of the JSDF shortly after her assassination attempt failed.
