Originally from the states, Nyx transferred from an American Hero Academy within New Orleans due to the discovery of her parent's part in an underground villain league. The news her heroic parents had been lying to all of those around them had shot any credulity she could have mustered within their community, if not the country, she had found herself in need of a transfer due to the scrutinizing eyes on her and the constant pushing from the Academy. America had turned it's eyes from the promising hero and so she searched a bit further than home in hopes of a brighter future.
