Jenova Hybrid
Jenova's cells synthesized into her near perfectly, keeping her from breaking down or falling subject to the alien's mind control. It took her time to learn to control her powers as oftentimes emotional outbursts would, and still do, lead to the unintentional use of her telekinesis. Lights break, objects get thrown across the room or shatter. Telekinesis is not the only trait she gained from the cells. She has the ability to read and influence minds and transform herself partially or fully.

A full transformation is rare because of the pain and the severe drain of energy upon her. It only happens if she is at the brink of death and the cells decide to take over to survive. However, she can partially transform and manifest biomechanical tentacles with electric nodes upon them that allow her to manipulate her element of electricity. She can also extend her nails into claws. She never shows off these traits, unless in battle or if she needs to. She has always tried to keep her alien side a secret.

The cells give her regenerative properties however when she takes too much damage the regeneration no longer works until she has rested and restored her reserves. They also make it that she does not age and is not susceptible to most human diseases.

When it comes to telekinesis the heavier the objects lifted or the stronger the force exerted can lead to excruciating headaches and she only uses such force if direly needed, or if her emotions get out of control in an outburst. Telepathy allows her to speak into others minds or influence memories. She can also slightly manipulate others, more so those who share the cells.

Hojo's experimentations have imbued her with the element of lightning, the sole element she can use without use of a Materia and she has not been seen using any other elements. She is resistant to the element and hitting her with lightning will only power her own attacks. She also fights with a pair of black steel knives that snap open into fan-blades. She can use her telekinesis to guide the blades through the air, the steel also infused with electricity when snapped open, that unleash a burst of lightning on impact.

Her files notate that she has a weakness to fire, an element that can destroy cells and keep them from easily regenerating.

Once again, she does not fight unless she or the Professor are under threat. She is a strong protector to have on your side or a dire enemy if you cross her. I am far more interested in story over combat that leads to killing.

The Past
Mako had always curiously drawn her attention and she so badly wanted to see the glow of the lifestream herself that when a reactor was closed off for repairs, she took the opportunity to sneak it and see it for herself. Fate played a cruel game that night for as she was gazing into the hypnotic flow the guard railing broke, sending her plummeting into the pool of Mako below.

She was unconscious at the edge of the pool when the scientists found her and were instructed by Professor Hojo to bring her back to him. ShinRa covered the 'fatality' at the reactor and cleared Hojo to do what he wanted after checking her background, she belonged to no one of importance who would come after them.

For days she was in and out of consciousness, hooked on IV's until she pulled through. Her resilience astounded the Professor himself and gave him the idea that she could withstand the transference of Jenova Cells into her body when most prior to her had failed. For months he slowly injected them into her, crafting her into a living reincarnation of Jenova, his own doll that resembled the entity that had become his life's obsession. It wasn't long before Isrieal became his obsession as well.

The first few years were grueling, and she always tried to escape, only to succumb to his torment and threats to abandon her. He psychologically conditioned her to need him, building her up by calling her Perfection and threatening her when she stepped out of line to brand her as a failure and discard her. Her mind had eventually bent itself to shove the trauma in the past, to overlook his harm and begin to admire him.

She felt she owed him her life, that since he saved her own she would always protect his. It was time that turned her into what she is today. An assistant, a pet, or whatever the newest rumor among ShinRa happened to be. None would truly know but her.

Origins/History "I feel like I have amnesia, but I know it's myself I've lost."

Isrieal’s story begins when she wakes up in the labs after suffering mako poisoning from falling into a pool of mako in a reactor she had snuck into. For curiosity's sake she wanted to see the life stream and how it was harvested, the reactor was shut down for construction and the railing broke, sending her toppling into the pool below. A team of scientists found her while surveying the reactor to sneak in connections to siphon mako to the labs while no one was manning it. Professor Hojo instructed them to bring her in. The fact she was not quite dead gave him hope that she may be the one to test a new experiment on.

Her resilience even furthered that notion as she recovered from the mako with little harm to her body, though it did steal away her memories prior to the accident. Her new life begins when she wakes up behind the glass wall. It wasn’t long after that Hojo began to inject her with Jenova cells in small doses at a time. Many who were injected with pure cells before her failed or died, but although they burned through her veins and made her ill she always pulled through. It was his goal to recreate Jenova as she once had walked the planet in the past by using Isrieal. A doll-like idol in her creation. She was a success and she stands as the experiment infused with the most Jenova cells to this day. His secret experiment became known as Project X.

For years he kept her locked within the labs slowly manipulating her mind to believe that she needed him in order to survive. She had once been adamant on escaping and running, her fear and hatred of him but over the years he twisted her psychologically to become dependent on him. He calls her his ‘perfection’ and threatens to brand her a failure like the rest if she does not obey. Stockholm Syndrome plays a role in her psychopathy these days and she believes that since he saved her life that she owes him, to keep him alive. When she showed more loyalty he eventually let her wander the labs and soon the ShinRa building itself. To mask what she was, he made her assistant Director to the labs, trusting only her to help him run them and hide his secrets. Many do not know what she truly is and she likes to keep it that way by playing the role of assistant. Although she would never betray him she doesn’t always agree with him. Her relation to him is a toxic one and they often get into fights over morals. She doesn’t always let him push her around and is perhaps one of few people not afraid to stand up to him. They are in a constant game of chess and she is known to play him as much as he manipulates her.

This makes her useful to others who work within ShinRa if they want to stay off his radar. She loves to make deals and extend her services and skills to others in a trade for something she can benefit from as well. From her days as a tormented experiment she has become a power figure within ShinRa.

Present Day Half Psychotic. Sick. Hypnotiq.

Her years spent with Hojo led her to learn all his secrets and study his traits. She became just as good a manipulator as him even threading him around her own fingers. They both held each other in a trap, a perfect stalemate of hatred and need. Of admirable obsession.

She clawed her way to the top, from mere experiment to Assistant Director to Professor Hojo. She helps with his twisted experiments, seeks human candidates from Wall Market for testing, and helps run the department by handling public affairs thus freeing up his time to continue with his own projects and not having to deal with people.

She's gained a specialty in Bio-Genetics and drug synthesis the latter of which she has used to create her own type of sedative that dulls her emotions. If she feels too much that it becomes on the verge of panic from her repressed memories, she injects herself to dull it back down. Due to this her emotions can be quite volatile. For the most part she comes off as cold to others, guarded and uncaring. Though if anyone manages to break through her walls they will find her to be loyal and caring.

She is someone who doesn't have a side and plays the field as needed to survive or to gain the best outcome. As long as no one messes with the labs or the Professor they are often not regarded as a threat. The rumor around ShinRa is that she lifes to make deals, exchange services and crafted drugs for employees who can grant her favors in return.

She has also taken her projects upon herself. The study of AI and Consciousness Theory. Over the years she finds a way to transfer consciousness digitally and is responsible for creating the program that Hojo uses to upload himself in the end.

FFVII OG Verse

In regular FF7 verse Isrieal is a Jenova hybrid experiment (same for any verse) and loyal guardian/assistant to Professor Hojo. She not only sees him as someone who gave her life and power but the only one who can help her when she needs it. She used to hate him but through the years began to bury the hate and gained the twisted mentally of needing him to survive; also known as Stockholm Syndrome. This verse can take anyplace prior and up to OG. The earlier the timeline goes she is still more of an experiment that's not so free of the labs and more under Hojo's control.

Later in the timeline she is his most trusted assistant that helps run the ShinRa labs. Rumors of fear and speculation surround her for being what she is. In most cases she isn’t out to harm unless someone poses a threat to the science department or to Hojo himself. She’ll do what she can to gain information and to keep watchful eyes around ShinRa or Midgar. She'll play both sides of the board to obtain what she needs but will always defend the Professor.

FFVII Rebirth Verses

In Rebirth verses Isrieal can potentially be in different timelines which will be sorted upon discussing the RP. For the majority of Rebirth verses she clings to sanity as the world falls into Chaos around her. She has spent years watching Hojo fall deeper into madness due to Jenova and she knows there's no saving him. She is at odds with his reunion theory and attempts to bring Jenova back.

She follows along for the journey but will try to warn others about the dangers of Jenova. She may have her cells but she isn't controlled by her and doesn't want to see the world destroyed. She may make alliances to help see this through but remains protective of Hojo even if she doubts his current ambitions and mental state.

Post FF7 Verses

In any verse following meteor Isrieal claims Hojo's body/data after spending years creating a program to upload human consciousness. She keeps it on the drive with the hopes of creating a new/stable body and reviving him. Many could seek her in the attempts that she doesn't see this through. Others may just want to come after her to wipe the world clean of the rest of whoever holds ties to Hojo. Her biggest enemy in this verse of course is Vincent Valentine.

In some cases she also suffers a bout of Geostigma in Deterioration verses. In which she has succumb to a nasty case of Geostigma that threatens to destroy her body and where she relies on her more primal alien instincts to consume and survive. Here its possible for someone to find her and save her, guide her down a new path or maybe you’ll just end up another victim. In note - she hates the loss of control and the potential harm she may bring to others in order to survive. It’s psychologically scarring but so was a lot of other things that she’s been through. In normal verses her cells eventually mutate to fight it off.

isrieal to aerith  :  " do you honestly think this is easy for me? "

she wants to answer , yet all that comes forward is silence.    aerith sits behind glass encasement , eyeing isrieal with an anger that solely  ( usually ) is only reserved for hojo.   her digits tighten into balls of fists , so much so that her knuckles go white.   the fabric of her dress is taken hold of and she's sure to have caused crescent indentations into her palms!

" . . . i think it is.  "  speaking boldly , aerith finds she doesn't care anymore.  it's hojo she can't give emotion to , but isrieal?  that came easy.

"  you're standing exactly where he stands and you want me to believe otherwise? "

When those heavy doors to the laboratory whispered open, he felt a surge of something indefinable pulse through his weary veins. It was neither fear nor relief but rather an acute awareness of change, a shift in the stagnant air of his prison. As the figure moved closer, Vincent instinctively pressed closer to the glass, his crimson eyes straining to pierce through the liquid and gloom from the corridor behind, which cast long shadows across the cold, clinical surface of the lab. Yet alongside this nascent desire for contact lurked a shadow of doubt, a whisper of caution born from his time in this abyss. Who was this person, and what did their arrival portend for him?

In the dim light, his gaze remained fixed upon the newcomer, a silent sentinel watching from behind a glassy barrier. His heart, which he had thought numbed by his ordeal, began to beat with a rhythm that felt like the fluttering of caged wings against the confines of his chest. Every movement of this mysterious figure, every shift in the air as they approached, added a note to the symphony of his reawakening senses.

But yet, as this figure came close, he remained motionless, his expression one of guarded curiosity.

As she navigated the controls to liberate him from his liquid coffin, his gaze never wavered from her form. Her actions were marked by cautious determination, and one was not to blame her for this. Through her actions, the liquid that had held him suspended was gone.

Fingers quivering with exertion, he reached up to remove the mask covering the lower portion of his mouth and nose. It had been his guardian and warden, and removing those straps and connections felt like an odyssey. Once free of the device, it hung beside him, suspended and discarded. There was a stumble as he came forward to press his forehead against the cold glass, and this was the first sensation he felt in what seemed like an eternity. It grounded him in the swirling fog of his half-catatonic state.

"Who are you?"

When she finally spoke, asking for his name, it felt like a clarion call cutting through the fog of his amnesia. "Vincent," his consciousness remained on the teetering break of tangible and the ethereal as he clung desperately to the only solitary anchor he knew: his name.

This figure in her ethereal beauty and attire from what seemed a time long since passed appeared to him as a specter from a story he half-remembered. She was an enigma, straddling the line between the spectral and corporeal, and it stirred a curiosity within him. Her movements, her concern, even the muted timber of her voice had reached him though through a dense fog; each word was a thread weaving through the darkness, binding him to a world he thought he had lost.

of course it was all making sense now . why a face like her own was not meant for a place like this . before the television above the bar cut to only static , the one channel they could manage to get . . . shinra . tifa's stomach tightened . with barret not home & marlene in the back , it left her in a pretty sticky situation . tifa was still , by all means , new to all of this . the bar had barely been open under her management for a few months , her debt to the slums now cleared . their faction of AVALANCHE was nearly miniscule in the grand scheme of things - but already , the face of shinra's lead scientist was here ?

tifa could only give her the benefit of the doubt , but then again , that was the innocence in her . still holding on , if not desperately . the one thing she was good at was remaining unphased . the art of illusion . her smile remained warm , though her eye watchful .

' well , the best way to prove it's the best is to show it to you , right ? ' there was enough people in the bar , soon people would start to catch on once they realized . a woman of this sort of beauty ? that wouldn't take long . tifa began to mixt the drink , hues flickering as a few people began to leave . making her way back to her with the glass , the woman chuckled .

' fair . working something like this sure beats running a bao cart . ' placing it down , she carefully watching her .

' & yourself ? you seem a long way from home . '

To silence all the voices in my head
I'd have to forget every word you said
I've been at war with myself from the start
Prayed for light and I was only given dark
Blocking the pain from my chest
But some days are hard to forget
Looking for reasons and failing now

In the picturesque town of Nibelheim, under the serene watch of Mt. Nibel's towering presence, Vincent Valentine found himself embarking on an assignment. The assignment had seemed straightforward enough for him as a skilled member of the Turks: provide security for the top-secret Shinra research happening at the secluded manor in Nibelheim. It was a mission shrouded in mystery, far removed from the bustling streets of Midgar. The manor was a place of cold stone and colder secrets, a world away from the life Vincent had known. It was there he had met her—Lucrecia Crescent, a brilliant and beautiful scientist whose presence brought an unexpected warmth to the chill of the manor's halls. As days turned into weeks, Vincent found himself drawn to her, not just for her intellect, but for the kindness that lurked beneath her scientific facade.

Their relationship was initially built on shared moments of solitude amidst the relentless pursuit of science which soon blossomed into something deeper. Vincent, for the first time in a long time, allowed himself to feel, to open up to the thought of love. But love, as he would painfully learn, was as cruel as it was beautiful. When he finally mustered the courage to propose, laying bare his heart before her, Lucrecia rejected him, and it was a blow from which he would never fully recover. Her reasons had remained her own, shrouded in personal torment and secrets Vincent could not penetrate.

The anguish of unrequited love was a silent specter that haunted Vincent, yet it paled in comparison to the torment of watching Lucrecia gravitate towards Hojo—a man Vincent knew to be the very embodiment of unethical science and unchecked ambition. It was a union that defied understanding, a cruel twist of fate that forced Vincent to witness the woman he loved align herself with a monster.

Vincent's role as protector had become a torturous test of endurance. He stood by as a silent guardian. His objections towards the dark experiments were whispers lost in the wind, he alone was powerless against the tide of Shinra's ambition. But when the experiments came to threaten the life of Lucrecia's unborn child, Vincent could remain silent no longer. His protest was an act of desperate defiance, a final stand for the woman he loved and the innocence that had yet to be born.

Hojo, ever the master of his twisted domain, saw Vincent's interference as nothing more than a nuisance to be eradicated. The bullet that had torn through Vincent's body was not just the end of his protest. Vincent's fate thereafter was sealed not with a burial, but with the cold curiosity of a scientist devoid of empathy.

The experiments that followed thereafter were a blur of agony and half-conscious torment. Vincent existed in a liminal space between life and death, a subject of Hojo's cruel whims. It was in these darkest moments, as he teetered on the brink of oblivion, that Chaos was introduced—a desperate measure by Lucrecia to save a life that Hojo deemed valuable only as a test subject.

Consciousness crept upon Vincent like a reluctant dawn, his senses awakening to an environment as alien as the new life force that now coursed through his veins. Panic was the first to greet him, a primal, suffocating terror as his eyes flickered open to the sight of a confined tube, his body suspended in an odd, viscous liquid that seemed to press in on him from all sides. The walls of his glass prison were clouded, distorting the world beyond into mere shadows and muffled sounds.

Confusion waged war within his mind, a tumultuous sea of thoughts clashing against the stark reality of his situation. He had been shot, a cold betrayal by the man whose madness knew no bounds. Death had been a certainty, an end he had faced with the thought of silent resignation. Yet here he was, painfully alive, every nerve ending aflame with suffering that defied understanding. The agony was all-encompassing, a relentless tide that battered against the shores of his consciousness, threatening to drag him back into the depths of oblivion.

Why was he awake?

What cruel twist of fate had denied him the peace of death only to thrust him into this new hell?

With a mixture of agony and confusion, a muffled cry escaped him, but the sound that escaped him was unrecognizable to his ears as what was driven from his lungs was not entirely human.

it was easy to spot a top-sider , especially in these parts . amongst the waves of dirty , dulled , & washed out appearances — someone as dolled-up as the woman stepping into the bar clearly came from somewhere far from the grime of  this place . unless , well , you were property of corneo himself ; though , to be unaccompanied meant this was never the option . still , it was enough to throw the young barmaid off her sorts a bit , still greeting her with a warm grin .

' please , sit wherever you'd like ! i'll be with you just a moment ! ' barely over nineteen & the newly acquired owner of the seventh heaven . the slums had done its best to dwindle down that same hopeful part of herself that she managed to desperately cling to . it had come close , awfully close — yet , amongst the patrons , the young woman found herself feeling more & more comfortable .

she was almost envious of the woman , eyeing her sense of fashion & feeling nearly underdressed in comparison . when picking her signature attire of a sports bra & skort — perhaps , in a sense , it was am homage to nibelheim . to the fleeting moments when life made sense & moments felt rewarding . it wasn't honest work , but exposed skin kept the gil flowing & her tip jaw full .

wiping off the bar counter , she made her way to the stranger . if she was top-side , why would she come here? surely , she could have found something more to her taste there ? still , she knew to be on alert . .  in case this was nothing more than a shinra loyalty test . ' what can i get'ya ? '
