• Susumu was verbally abused and neglected by his strict father and bossy little half-sister throughout childhood.

• Susumu's father Yamato Shinko disowned him when he turned 15. His father has named Susumu's little half-sister Nanami Shinko as the sole heir to Shinko Incorporated. Yamato has all but erased his eldest son from the family records.

• Despite technically being the son of President Shinko, Susumu receives no special treatment as an unwilling member of the G-E-Triple-S.
