Elegg is from the Electric Shock squad. She's an expert in power sources of electronics, and her hobby is installing the classic FPS game, BOOM, on every device that has a screen.
Elegg's favorite game BOOM is an obvious reference to the 1993 first-person shooter game turned franchise Doom. The game's title art is even an homage to Doom's and her gun is a homage to the BFG. The game's art used in Booms Day's splash art and Elegg's tap animation is a reference to Doom (2016)'s cover art.
The name of Elegg's machine gun, "Boomstick," is a nod to the Ash Williams gun from the Evil Dead franchise. Though in that series, Boomstick is a shotgun, not a machine gun.
When referring to someone, Elegg addresses them with Mr. or Ms. depending on who she's talking to or about.
