Tales of the Windrunner: Talanas Windrunner of Eversong, first Head of the noble Windrunner clan, and High Ranger of QuelβThalas. Talanas was born at the ancestral home of his family, later named Windrunner Spire, overlooking the Eversong Woods. His mother always had a saying; βBelono sil'aru, belore'dorei.β In the common tongue, it meant βShoulder your burdens well, child of the Sun.β From a young age, he never knew what she meant by it, it wasnβt until much later that he was able to grasp the meaning. Beloreβdorei, Child of the Sun. His mother had always called him that, as she had always wanted great things of him. He just wished she was able to see the legend he would become.
Originally, he was a member of an ancient Highborne clan, the House of Eversong. Named for the Eversong Woods they inhabited, his house was responsible for guarding the Woods which acted as the Southernmost border of the Kingdom. Scattered throughout the Woods, different spires were constructed and maintained, housing magical artifacts that supplied power to the Highborne Kingdomβs barrier. Holding such a responsibility, the House of Eversong were known as one of the most ancient and prominent Houses in all of QuelβThalas.
